X=Change is the meeting point for our young people between years 7 and 13 in High School. The meetings usually take place on Friday evenings although there are occasionally mid-week outreach events or socials on other days as well as small group bible study and discipleship meetings that take place at various points during the week. Activities on X=Change Friday nights range from social evenings (MerthyrSlam dodgeball tournaments, Murder Mystery Evenings, Late Night Mountain Walks, Cinema Trips), to worship and prayer evenings, teaching evenings, and small group discussion evenings.

What we want for our young people is for them to treasure Jesus Christ and his work in the gospel more than anything else in all of life. We want to teach our young people to understand and love the gospel, but also to apply it into their daily lives so that God's grace effects everything they do. We want to equip them to live lives of joy, worthy of the gospel, and pointing to the glory of Jesus.

Parents are strongly encouraged to be involved in many of the activities with their young people. In our youth ministries we want to serve parents by seeking to strengthen their relationships with their young people. We want to create contexts where our youth can talk with their parents, as well as other parents; a place where they can listen to advice and learn from experiences. But we also want to have a right laugh with both our youth and parents. So we don't take ourselves too seriously.
